Dilemma
Often we face the situation in our life when we become very helpless and cornered. It is this situation when we say to ourselves; what to do? How to tackle? Forget about the solution, we are not able to attack the problem in its first place.
Same is the situation currently I am facing. When my father and my mother-in-law both down with minor sleep disk attack in Mumbai. I am here in Bangalore with my family doing nothing. When my help or rather contribution is required in this kind of a situation I am not able to give 5% of it.
After giving much thought on it (what else can I do?). It came to my mind that this type of emergency prepares you in life. May be I have been preserved to complete more important tasks. But again all this is futile until you actually contribute something. In this type of situation not only words are required but they should be backed by some strong actions. Which, I am unable to do. You don’t get peace of mind by reading spiritual books or listening to discourses. When something is burning our first duty is to distinguish the fire first, rather than knowing the reasons and checking the damage done by it.
Though the sleep disk of my father is not that severe but he is not able to forget the pain, even after 15 days of attack. He is still not able to sit and do daily cores. Sometimes pain get so intense that he is not able to sleep through the night. Due to this all the daily activities are upon my mother. She is doing her best to manage on all fronts.
I have told him that by this weekend he will feel substantial improvement. Request God to listen to me and for his sake grant me this wish. How to be a good son, a good son-in-law? I am not able to do my basic duties and responsibilities.
Hopefully when I will return to write again (after a week) there will be some positive changes in him and substantial recovery in his health. Amen…..
